About Precision Digital Captures

Trusted with the captures that matter.

A commercial reality capture practice based in South East Queensland, commissioned by developers, insurers, councils, and asset owners who need deliverables that hold up years later. The training side runs inside the same practice, so the standard you commission is the standard we teach.

Why we exist

Most operators sell a capture. We deliver a record.

Anyone can buy a drone, install the software, and advertise survey services. Not everyone produces deliverables that stand up when a client's engineer checks them, their insurer reviews them, or their legal team references them two years later.

The difference isn't the drone. It's the discipline behind it. The ground control, the reference standards, the documentation, and the willingness to say the numbers say something different when the brief expects otherwise. That discipline runs through every commission we take, and every student we train.

Tim Jaeger, Director of Precision Digital Captures
The director

Tim Jaeger. Operator, not figurehead.

Tim founded Precision Digital Captures after years working in the commercial side of the industry: surveying, processing, and delivering reality capture for clients who expected more than a folder of images. The gap between what the technology could produce and what most operators were actually delivering became the reason to build something better.

Today he runs operations, leads training, and stays on the tools. Every intake, short course or long course, is trained by someone running commercial capture work the same week. Every client enquiry reaches a working operator who can speak to the job from direct experience.

Based in South East Queensland, working Australia-wide and internationally. Available for commercial captures, technical consulting, and conversations with anyone working out whether a job is worth doing.

In his words
If I could help you reach out and feel the brickwork through your screen, I would. That's the standard I hold every capture to.

The mission

What we're building. And why.

Precision Digital Captures exists to build the survey-grade reality capture layer beneath Australia's land and property market, and to train the next generation of operators who work in it.

We don't compete for commodity deliverables. Every commission runs the same pipeline: ground control, GDA2020 / AHD reference, documented accuracy, permanent 3D deliverables that serve marketing, certification, insurance, and future asset decisions for years after the transaction.

The training side takes operators from certification through to commercial readiness, taught by a working operator, assessed against the same production-grade standard our own commercial work is held to. Every graduate walks out ready to sell into the market, not just ready to pass an exam.

Behind both halves, we're building the next layer: new-form UAV capture, applied AI in geospatial processing, and training pathways into TAFE and trade colleges. Not because the industry needs disruption. Because the standard should keep improving, whether we're capturing the asset or training the person who will.

Only premium services. Only premium outcomes.
Where the work has taken us

SEQ based. Australia-wide. And well beyond.

Most of our work runs within an hour of Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and the Sunshine Coast. But when the right project comes with the right brief, we've captured heritage, commercial, and cultural assets thousands of kilometres from home. Same standards, same discipline, same deliverables.

Say the word if you have a project that would take us somewhere interesting. Australia-wide and international captures are quoted per-job with travel and site logistics itemised separately. A brief is enough to start the conversation.

What we hold to

Two sides of one practice. Four standards held on both.

Commercial delivery and PDC training. Different outputs, same operating principles. These are the four standards that hold across everything we do, whether you're commissioning a capture or sitting in one of our intakes.

01

Precision at commercial standard. Everywhere.

Commercial: every deliverable runs to survey-grade accuracy. Ground control, GDA2020 / AHD reference, documented in the processing report. Training: every graduate is assessed against the same production-grade criteria we apply to our own work. No gap between what we sell and what we teach.

02

Say what we know. Show what we've measured.

Commercial: if the accuracy is right for the brief, we say so and back it with the data. If a job isn't a fit, we say that too. Training: instructors teach what they actually do, on jobs they're running that same week. No reading from slides, no theory-only seminars.

03

Documentation is part of the deliverable.

Commercial: processing report, delivery note, accuracy statement, chain of custody where it applies. Standard from the first flight. Training: students leave with the same documentation discipline, and the toolkit to apply it on their first solo client.

04

The work outlives the flight.

Commercial: capture takes hours, the deliverable gets referenced for years. Training: graduates carry the standards into their own careers. Both halves of what we do are built for the long game. Deliverables and operators still valuable a decade later.
